Jayson Tatum Becomes Youngest NBA All Star In History

Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics became the youngest NBA All Star in history on February 23, 2021. At just 21 years and 158 days old, he surpassed LeBron James as the youngest player to ever make an All Star team.

Tatum was selected as a starter for the Eastern Conference All Star team. He was selected by the fans, earning the most fan votes in the Eastern Conference. This is the second All Star appearance for the young star.

Tatum has had an impressive breakout season for the Celtics, averaging 26.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. His impressive play has helped the Celtics to the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.

Tatum joins an exclusive group of players who have made an All Star team at such a young age. He is only the fourth player to do so, joining James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Garnett.
